In 2019, Mark Peeters published a fully revised version of his first book.
“Restoration of wrought iron & cast iron: Answers to 10 frequently asked questions” offers a unique perspective on the restoration of old, valuable metalwork: cast iron balconies, wrought iron fences, zinc or copper roof ornaments. The book guides the reader to observe old metalwork in a way that allows them to judge whether the pieces are valuable, what material they are made of, and whether they should be restored or maintained. It also highlights the repair of cracked natural stone in which these authentic metalworks were usually anchored, such as pedestals, plinths, and columns.
